In August 2020, a fire raged across the banks of the Poort Stream, situated at the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountain Range in KwaZulu/Natal, South Africa.
The threat of severe bank erosion and subsequent siltation of the stream prompted Andrew Fowler from Upland River Conservation to take action.
